Good Afternoon!
I was in my German class when I noticed that my friend David was not his usual happy self. The conversation that followed went a little like this.
Me: What's wrong David?
David: My girlfriend Brooke is mad at me and I don't know why!
At this point I turned into my professional girl mode. There was a perfectly logical reason that Brooke was mad and it was my job to discover what that reason was.
Me: What happened before you knew she was mad at you?
David: Well, I was going to take her out to lunch and as we were walking to my car her brother came up to us and said, "Brooke can I come?" She said to ask me to which I said sure. I mean, come on, I don't want to get on bad terms with her brother. That is a big mistake. Then she goes, "Never mind, I'm not that hungry anyway. I'll see you later David." And then she leaves in a huff and . . .yeah.
Ok I felt bad for the guy but it was just too easy to know what was upsetting Brooke.
Me: When she said "Go ask David" did she give you a look?
David(voice turning from normal to hysterical): What do you mean a look. I mean she looked at me, but I don't know what kind of look. What are you talking about??
Me: Did she say "Go ask David" with a shrug or "Go ask David"?
David: The second one.
Me: (sigh). Clearly she wanted you to say no. This was a time that you two were going to have together, obviously not something she wanted her brother to tag along to.
David: (he put his head in his hands and groaned.) Why can't she just tell me? Why are girls so complicated?
Me: Stop mopping, we need to get Brooke to like you again. Have you texted her?
David: Like a million times.
Me: Give me your phone. (He handed it to me and I texted a message to her, something I knew she would want to read; it was just pleading with Brooke to forgive David and how sorry he was. I passed it to David to make sure that everything was written the way he would write it.)
David: (reading the text) I really screwed up didn't I?
Me: You just made a mistake, what is important is that you can learn from it and fix it.
Me: Send this to her and let's see what happens. You were going to take her to lunch today? Take her out to dinner tonight or lunch tomorrow. And you buy her flowers. Do something a little extra special.
David: What do I do when this happens again?
Me: It depends on the look, but if she gives The Look again, just say "No" to her brother with a wink and all will be just fine.
That is my story. Maybe I should start a "Reading Girl's for Dummies" blog. It could be interactive and everything!! Wow, that would be a good idea!
Well, to end the story, David and Brooke are happy again, and every time David sees me, he gives me a big thumbs up and says "Thanks Bex!"
Boys: Good luck with the ladies.
Ladies: Give the good guys a break. They really are clueless. :)
Have a great day!!

Back!
Hello again
Funny story:
Today was my Grandpa's birthday and for it, he treated my mom and I to the most elegant place to eat in town: Taco Bell. As we were going home, my mom started a conversation. Being in the back seat, I was able to witness the whole conversation. you are now privy to my great experiences as an American Teen. It started like this.
Mom: Are you going to make your colonoscopy appointment when we get back home?
Just as my mom slammed on the brakes to avoid getting crushed in the middle of the intersection while running a yellow. I couldn't help but smile and think "yeah, great conversation for a teenager to be hearing. TMI!!"
Grandpa: You know what is amazing about that?
At this point I was slightly worried thinking that my Grandpa thought that it was amazing to have something shoved up your. . . Apparently having to walk uphill to school both ways in the snow distorts one's idea of amazing. Who knew?
Grandpa: Tires. It is absolutely amazing that they can have so much traction on a wet road.
My mom glanced at me from the rear view mirror in a worried fashion obviously wondering if she had misheard my Grandpa. I looked at her as if to confirm I had no idea how he had made the transition from a colonoscopy to a tire.
Mom: How are a colonoscopy and a tire related?
I decided to help my mom realize how my Grandpa's mind obviously worked.
Me: Well, a tire as well as the normal buttocks is round.
This little speech was met by stunned silence. I felt the need to explain myself further.
Me: Not to mention that they both have a hole. Though the sizes are not exactly similar.
It was a moment before my Grandpa burst into a breathless laughter after which my mom started to convulse when her abdominal muscles stated a vigorous workout.
I was slightly worried about my safety given the fact that I highly doubted that my mother could see much considering the amount of liquid which was literally pouring from her eyes. Luckily we made it safely back home and I was the only one who didn't look like I had just drained my tear ducts.
Anyway, here are some pictures. What do you think? Could they get confused? I have yet to come to a conclusion.
See you later!!

Thankfulness
Hello
Alright, yes I realize it is a little late, but I want to write a list of things I'm grateful for.
1. Families
2. Friends
3. Food
4. Plumbing
5. Passports
6. Clothes
7. Electronics(especially computers and ipods)
8. Pencils and pens and paper(oh my)
9. Books
10. Movies(Like Tangled, which I am going to see tonight!!)
11. Spell Check( even though it is insisting that ipods is spelled wrong, uh I don't think so)
12. Hair extensions
13. My piano and flute
And last but not least, THE WORLD (That is how I get everything I missed into one easy answer)
I know there are so many other things I'm grateful for, but if I were to type them, I would never get to leave the computer. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends. And now it is time to break out the Christmas Decorations!! WOOT WOOT!!

Good. . . Midday
I just watched The Lake House for the first time in forever yesterday. I had forgotten how amazing it is. Sandra( I know it makes me sound cooler that I am by calling her by her first name) is amazing as usually. And the chemistry between and her co-actor(whose name escapes me and I'm too lazy to go and look it up) leaves me speechless. I cannot express how much I want a guy who would do everything his character does for her in that movie. I've decided I will marry that character (announcements will be posted shortly)! I haven't seen them together in any other movie but TLH but I've heard they are always amazing together. I believe she is my favorite actress and he is up on my list for favorite actors. He just seems so sweet!! Who are your favorite actors/actresses? And remember, nothing crude or cruel!
Until next time,
Bex

Good Morning (actually I find these words, a contradiction of words.)
So today, I thought I would talk about putting things off. You know, there are a lot of ways to procrastinate. . . For one, there is Facebook. I love trying to come up with funny statuses. But that doesn't take too long, because there are so many things to make fun of, the list is endless! Then there is YouTube, but even some videos get boring after watching them 68 times. I know, I counted. Of course, I could always read a book, but then I feel guilty for not doing my work. Then I start to write on a blog that I just started. And that is my list of ways to procrastinate. Feel free to leave any other ideas. But for now, I think I have procrastinated enough, and I can finally finish my essay.
Have a great day!

Hello World
Hello Everyone!
My name is Bex, and I'm very pleased to have met you. I first wanted to say, welcome to my blog! I want to be a writer when I "grow up". So I thought that this would be a good start. So for my blog, I spent weeks wondering what theme I would choose. I couldn't think of just one thing I wanted to write about. So instead, I thought I would write about any and everything. At least everything that interests me. Since I am a teen, I have daily experiences that are, let's say, interesting. I will share these with you as they happen, and I hope you enjoy them. If there is a book, movie, song, etc. that I enjoy I will be the first to share it with you. Thanks for being here, and I hope you will comment on my daily adventures. Have a great day, and God Bless.
