Let's just say this right now. This post, as are all of the, is my own personal opinion. I understand that not everyone will agree with me, but this is my blog and I can do what I want HA!!
I am proud to be an American. I am so proud that I was born in the great country with the freedom colors Red, White and Blue. Now, I am not planning on going into the military, but I believe I am very patriotic. I say the pledge everyday and will never be caught harassing or disgracing members of our military.
Sometimes, ok all the time, it bugs me when people who live in the country do not believe in respecting it. One thing that really gets on my nerves is when my school says the Pledge of Allegiance. I understand that not everyone wants to or feels comfortable with saying it, and I totally respect that, but maybe you can stand and take your hat off in respect for the country that gives you that exact right? Just an idea. Or even worse in my opinion. When other students come in late and do not stop at the door to continue the pledge. Nope, they just walk right on by as if they have better things to do.
If I may, I came across an amazing video of Red Skeleton speaking of the importance of our country.

There, doesn't that explain it nicely (Of course, not referring to the lack of the whole 50 states, but you get the idea). I hope this helps us all remember those same feelings of unity we felt during and after 9/11. We must remember, "United we stand, divided we fall."
Have a great week!!
