It always feels like I'm constantly trying to catch up with my blog. Sooner or later I will hopefully be having a more regular schedule and therefore be able to blog more often. I keep telling myself that I have a ton of followers they are just too afraid to comment because of how amazing I am.

So yesterday my parents were getting ready for church. My dad was still in his sweat pants from the night before. Suddenly, he started to dance around like a crazy person. My mom and I just stared at him not sure what to do exactly. The thing you have to understand about my dad is that he is very jumpy. Anyway, he shoved his hand up his shirt and pulled out the culprit 'bug' that was making him jump.

That's right, it was a sock. he he.
Next, I went to Prom about a week ago. I had a lot of fun, and it was a great way to end the school year. As a tradition, my date and I went to each others churches to show off how amazing we looked. We sat next to my parents and were having a grand old time.
We started to sing our traditional hymns when my dad's voice cracked pretty badly and he sounded like he was this age.

My date and my dad then had this conversation.
MD: Sir, you should join the tenors and leave the bass for the men.
Dad: I have gone through puberty. Just so you know.
MD: Of course Sir
Dad: Do you know how old I am? . . . Don't answer that.
We had a pretty good laugh over that.
So, today is Memorial Day. It is a day to remember those who have died for our country. However, today I would like to extend that to those who fight for our freedom today.
